Hmmm, will wait to see what a 360GLT is like, but I used to have a Porsche that rolled pretty horifically, maybe they were going for the same look? :)

Are they combined spring/damper units or something? Would have thought you'd need a spring change (and correspondingly firmer dampers) to due excessive roll?

I'm amazed the 480 still leaks so much when they were still selling them in the mid to late 90's. The only real appeal of them is slightly ...

480s are nice, apart from (among other things):
Unreliable electrics
FWD
Portable koi pond that is the boot (v. leaky)
May not be as good for load carrying
Having said all that, they can look lovely.
Understeery... but possibly boosty.... Oh, don't forget the smaller goldfish ponds in each ...

Nah, sensible never really suited me :)

Did also think about another (slightly sensible) volvo though - a 480 "wedge". Probably more practical, but doubt it'd be as etertaining.

Haha, a rear wheel drive car with a transaxle over the rear, running nice firm new dampers on the back and 1980s struts on the front sounds quite fun in a sideways sort of a way :)

Damnit, I came on here to be sensible about cars :D

Why just rear dampers?

Are they fairly easy to swap over?

Hmmm, the more oversteery 340 sounds like fun :)

What's special about the 340 redline I've seen mentioned? Is it as sporting as the name suggests or is that just optimisitc marketing? :)

Fiar enough, I'm a lazy git - if there's more than two of us travelling up, I'll persuade someone else to drive, whilst I snooze off the days exertions :D

So, what are they like in terms of handling? I gather the 360GLT was sold as something of a GTi competitor when it was new? 2 litres, quite ...

Seats don't fold on a saloon, do the bikes have to go in the back? Plenty of towbar mounted carriers availible.

Yep, it's worth about five times what I'd up hope to pick up a 360 for, don't want it dangling out where it can be nicked or collected by a passing hedge :D

Also find it's quicker to ...

K is carburetor engine E is high compression injection engine and F low compression injection engine with katalysator. i hope that i didn't make any mistakes about ...

Hello and questions

Hi,

Firstly hello as I'm new to the board :)

I'm thinking about getting a 360 as an everyday runaround. Heard a lot of good things about them, but I have a few questions....

Firstly, can someone give me a brief overview of the UK models - which were saloons and which were hatchbacks? Do the seats ...
