Identifying engines in junkyards...problems...
Hi, I am willing to buy an engine (probably a high compression electronic fuel injected 8V B230/16V B234) for my 360 from a junkyard. I had an unsuccessful search to know where to find the manufacturing date stamped on the engine block and/or the engine code. The only clue that I have is that a 3 di...

Re: URGENT...PLEASE HELP!!!WATER LEAK FROM THE CYLINDER HEAD

"I will go fo an electronic fuel injected 2.3 litre HIGH compression engine without Turbo...which engine is the appropriate one to use (engine code/compression/bhp/torque) ?" Thanks vo...

Re: URGENT...PLEASE HELP!!!WATER LEAK FROM THE CYLINDER HEAD
Thanks a lot "Ride_on" for your reply :D It seems that this plug is designed to pull out of the cylinder head if the water freezes in the engine... I have purchased the plug from my Volvo dealer :D Oh yeh they do have one ! I drilled a hole in the fitted plug...put in a screwdriver...and pulle...

URGENT...PLEASE HELP!!!WATER LEAK FROM THE CYLINDER HEAD!!!
Hi guys, I have found a water leakage in the cylinder head of my B19E under the spark plug 2 and between the first two exhaust tubes... Is it a cap that I can change ? How can I fix that ? Do I have to weld it ? Sorry to bother you but I can't use my car anymore  until I get this issue fixed :o...

Re: Never gets over half way on thermostat
Cheked the manual and it should be open at 92°C (B19E)...I'll check the fitted one...like you said, it should be the wrong number... Is there any problem if the engine runs cooler  ??? As far as I remember I changed the gauge temperature sensor with one that has this volvo part number : 460191...

Hi all maniacs ;) After one week of immobilisation, I checked the water level in my water box and noticed that it was empty...so I filled it up and cheked for all the pipes...nothing...so I looked at the water pump and saw this suspicious brown color on the casing...from where could escape the water...

Re: B19E Engine mounts
Okey...i'll begin searching for these "glycol mounts"...
But if I do not find ones in a good condition (since the 360s are very very rare over here)...Is there any other alternatives ? Like fitting some mounts from more common volvo's (200,700,900 series) ?!
Cheers

Re: B19E Engine mounts
No problem... So you are saying that the better mounts that can fit my B19E are these "glycol mounts" and they also replace the role of the mini shock... On which cars (engines) these mounts were initially fitted ??? Can I find some new ones ??? And if not, how do I inspect used ones to see if they ...
