sounds like you could have the wrong mixture or partially blocked jet. also i would be inclined to check the dizzy cap and rotar arm they do have a tendancy to mess up. i have a friend that worked on these when they were new and he said he had no end of them.

finally got my car on the road wont go above 60 or the higer end of the rev range without spluttering and kangaroing bottom end of revs runs fine. there are no air leaks the carbs bolted down fine and the float level is good. i got the car as a non runner though. my lowering blocks are now made and fitted after a lot of trouble getting the driveshaft out the offside. flamin allen key bolts rounded off. all repaired though. ill get some pics up once the fronts done now. not long till thats all on the road. cant wait!!!

ill look them up for the front springs just made the back ones out of thick steel box section. only cost a tenner for all the bits. just a locater to pout in now and were all done.

just made mine actually went out and bought some 60*60 box section. ill put the locating studs in mine tomorrow. all measured up will get some pics up when its all done. thanks for the advice.

im new here just bought a 340 (its awesome) but cant seem to find any three inch lowering blocks. im thinking about making them out of steel myself as they look fairly simple anyone ever done anything like this?
