Is there a, "quick fix," to sort out the timing on a RENIX system. I know that you can't adjust the distributor. but timing is well out. I have cleaned the flywheel pick-up and the conections, the distributor cap and rotor are new(3months) and we checked the leads for good continuity. the engine ...

I no this is a late reply but it sounds a little bit like an ignition timing fault to me. this would explain the juddery throttle responses.
