today i spent 6 hours removing sound deadening from the passenger side and making progress on closing the tunnel

started closing the tunnel hole using the 740 tunnel. it is now tacked in place and i have to cut some side plates and do a massive welding job

today was a holiday..dont know what exactly but i had some spare time and made the engine mounts they were tacked in place with the engine positioned and centered, then i removed the engine and subframe and welded them, also welded a nut to mount a cylindrical rubber mount...the mounts are rated for...

well today is sunday so in a 4 hours spare time i started doing the sump it now clears the steering rack by 2cm all around i still have to weld it on the inside,weld some baffles, tidy up the outside and make a dipstick tube so another 4 or 5 hours of work :shock: it looks strange shaped because of ...

hi! today i stripped the interior of the car and hacked ther tunnel test fitted the engine and box but i am frustrated!!! the steering rack fouls the clutch cylinder, i then removed it temporarily mounted the engine without sump but the oil pump fouls the steering rack and its impossible to relocate...

tomorrow i will dismantle the rest of the 740 and before scrapping it i will cut out the tunnel and keep it in case i need to weld it to the 340. the gas pedal is very close to the tunnel so it will require a bit more fabrication but nothing too difficult just time consuming.
