Is anyone going to the volvo owners club BKV? It would be a good chance for us to meet up, (try and take over!!) Both my dad and myself have been trying to push the club to do more for the younger members. If a load of us turn up I'm sure it will help send the message home.
So who is going???
Thanks
Dai

I might well be.... Sunday the 12th isn't it??? If it's not too far I prolly will, though Mum's birthday on the 11th, so might get collared into going home.

I'd like to be there, but with the current situation, who knows, as it's not far off. Where is it exactly? It'd be good to get plently of 300's together and show the VOC to take notice of the younger generation too.

yeh we pull in with our pumping stereos , non original turbo and twin carb installs , wrong model alloys (dodgy bonnet stripes ) and no pension books or flat caps, then the wax barbour jackets all have heart attacks and you end up with a field of pining labradors and green wellys pointing up to the sky , Hmmm,
or do I have the wrong impression of the VOC

Shame really, I'd love to go up but my car is prob going to be in the works having the grot ground out of the chassis.
Good news is that once the rotten sills, etc have been sorted the new engine's going in

then once that's bedded in, its time for megasquirt.

Haha Mick...well I did get thrown out of the show last year...
Shame you'll miss it Andrew, but sounds like it'll be worth it (and hey, they'll only think our cars are crap because we don't clean the engine bay with a toothbrush anyway

)
cheers

And I thought that was due to donuting without due care, attention and skill Fogs

Do you get negative points for non standard stuff.... I'm sure I must be able to get a negative score if so.... and if Special turned up!!!!

Well yes, there is that...
They'll mark you down for non-original stuff unless you enter the car in 'modified'. I ought to be ok really, since only the stereo is non-factory. I'm not sure which catagory I'll enter....it kinda depends on what else turns up
Just don't expect anyone to actually win the young driver prize
cheers

Dont bother turning up if you want a prize for your effort!!
Who wants a car that is polished including every little corner and dont forget to grease to battery terminals!! most of these cars are not in a fit state to be driven!
There are a few car enthusiasts who do turn up, lets try and swing the numbers this year.
Hope to see as many of you there as possible
