Following on from the success of 2010...

...2011...

...and (albeit with a low turnout of 300s,) 2012...

...it gives me great pleasure to announce the 2013 300 series 'national' event, which this year will be held on Sunday the 1st of September, at Brooklands Museum, Surrey. Brooklands was the first purpose-built race circuit in the world, so it's only right that we bring our race-honed high performance machines to this motorsport Mecca...!
I know the notice is a little short. Despite the best intentions of several of us involved in organising this to improve matters, it has actually been publicised later than in previous years....but I really hope plenty of people can still make it!
The plan is to meet at around 10am at the Museum (here: http://goo.gl/maps/71j1c). Someone (probably me!) will be around to point you in the right direction. We're planning to have an area where we'll be parking up, then having a mooch around the museum. At some point, we will be making our way up to the members banking for a photoshoot, which should make for some amazing pictures.
We have to pay for museum entry, and (per car) for use of the banking. There is a budget for the event, but we may not be able to cover the museum entry for everyone, depending on how many cars go on the banking.
There is also going to be some stuff happening on the Saturday (31st August). There was talk of karting at one point, but that appears to be unfeasibly expensive in that part of the world. The main attraction of the Saturday is likely to be pub / B&B / camping, but there will probably also be something happening during the day, too. Contact me if you're interested in attending. I will post details of the pub trip and camping / B&B as soon as I have them.
It would be good to see as many of you as possible, regardless of what you're driving. 300-series numbers were significantly down last year, so I'm hoping for a strong showing!
cheers
James
