VOC BKV

Sunday 21st.June.

"in the grounds of!

Thoresby Hall
Thoresby Park.
Nr. Ollerton,
Notts.
NG22 9WH.

The hall is now a hotel and spa (run by Warner Leisure) and is on the edge of Sherwood forest.

I shall be going! (this year the BKV coincides with the boss and me's 25th ani. so I've booked a three day break in the hall - a very expensive session in the spa for Mrs.Mac gives me the Sunday off for the meet.)

The meet will be a good as the people who turn up - so come along and take the P out of the old farts (I shall have my old fart hat on as I seem to have been roped in as one of the judges).

Mac.

I shall likely be in attendance, maybe getting roped into judging again after the SBKV but we'll see.

Er, what does "BKV" mean, and do you have to be a member of VOC and/or let anyone know you're going?

I live in a different part of Notts, but if the weather is decent and I have a bit of last minute time (in short supply tbh at the mo), I might pop along if it's OK to just drop in etc.

BKV does indeed mean "best kept volvo".

The event is in fact the annual national meet for the Volvo owners club - the titular BKV competition is just a small part of the day - it's really a big get-together for all Volvo owners (last year there was everything from 1940s 444 to herses, ambulances, new cars and everything in between. Dealers and trade stands will be in attendance.

You just turn up, you don't need to "let anybody know" and it costs nothing.

Mac.
