^^^^ if they do, hit em with a bit of high rpm and the result would be devastating ( from the sound of the exhaust )

BTW looks nice....like remus.

Lol welcome to the exhaust facing into the middle of the car group  I think everyone thats tried changing a 300 exhaust has had that problem, its a bugger to get it coming out straight without changing more of the system

hi im back! tinternet died for a couple of weeks there

anyway, i saw this post and reminded me of something i wanted to get:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEWTWIN3inch-ALLO ... dZViewItem

i think it would go quite nicely. paint it black or leave it as it is?

also why does the exhaust point towards the middle? can this be sorted easily or with a bit of bodging? ali how did you get yours to come out straight?

cheers. (sorry for threadjack)

It says Alloy in URL

I have found out that nobody likes to drive behind of my car either, at least when uphill comes they like to leave some space as exhaust is not most quiet, also with K-cam exhaust pulses are much stronger making lot more noise.

When I drive 300km my ears ring whole evening, bit too loud for street use.

Ive never seen an aluminium back box either they're usually mild or stainless steel?

To sort the "pipe leans to centre of car" get a hacksaw and cut a pie section out of the exhaust like the diagram below. The diagram is when looking from the top of the exhaust. The point of the triangle should be facing the middle of the car. Do not cut completely through the exhaust, leaf a small amount of metal joining the pipe together.

Image

The angle of the cut depends on how much you need to straighten the exhaust by. It depends on the amount you need to move the exhaust and the length of the pipe from the cut to the end of the tailpipe.

Once the exhaust has been bent you can then weld up the join and it will sit perfectly.

Matt

I fixed mine by going under the axle instead  had that on my standard system with a backbox and on my 3" system now. Its because the original pipework and backbox are designed to sit at an angle but the tailpipe bends out of the back of the backbox on a 300 silencer. On a 340 you can really cut out those nasty bends because the petrol tank doesnt get in the way like on a 360 :( I tried going under the tank on the 360 and it had about 2" ground clearance! Heres the system I used to have on my 340... 2" and cuts out the 90deg bends

^^ very nice :D

but my fuel tank is in the way :(

i tryed to do a 2" system from front to back in a straite line but tank is in the way, so lacking creativity i made a 2" pipe in original place it was coming out straite at the end but somhow when i put the box on it had moved/settled in a differnt place...maybe i can adjust it...somehow

and ali i dont know if ive said already but i reallly really like your car :D
