This car comes from someone named Ron, he lives near Heerlen, you might know him... he's a V3C member just like you and me...

Thank you from infos, I better ask from those MOT persons how they will react to those, always so tight rules with lowering here.
I say that grey 360 will be loaded, so much of options that I haven't ever even seen

Congrats from getting so unique car, oh yes and welcome from me too

I'm still not decided if I go for Koni shocks or just heavyduty front shocks, Koni's will cost almost 3x more but also then rear should be Koni and it costs even more and I'm poor

Ah Koni's... I forgot to add that one on my profile "bragging list"... got those too...

And yes, I probably won't need to lower my car because of all the weight added by the options...

Jtbo any info from Koni dealer?

My suspension in GLT is starting to be little bouncy and worn also and I'm comparing all the options.. In GL we have full kit (anti roll bars, lowering kit for front and back etc...) made by Koni but those haven't been available here in years and I wouldn't want to steal parts from my dads car...

But if Konis are available at Holland it would be one option.

That must be luc's old car, it belongs to his dad (Ron) right now. I thought it was darkblue though, did you changed the color in the pic?

No more info, but Wielhoven have them. Maybe they answer soon

I think that if all interested send mails to them they will put prices up, lol. I think that we should not pay taxes from stuff bought in NL, it is in EU, right?

Yupz... That's the one... on some pictures it looks dark blue but it really is a grey car.

What's the crack with the levellers James/Pete ? Is there just one set or various available, as I do need to get some rear shocks soon !
Cheers,
John.

Last time I emailed the seller he had put an ad in the caravan club magazine, and wanted to wait to see if he got a call. There was only one set.
If I can get a set of stiffer conventional shocks to put 'in their place', I'll happily pass on dibs on the Monroes, as I'm not sure of their performance characteristics. As I understand it, the inflation simply adjusts their height, not their stiffness (obviously that is what you want for load carrying - you don't want a rock-hard ride when you've just loaded a boot-full of bone china!!), whereas stiffness is an important characteristic to me. Oooh errr...!
Will you be able to make it to the Easter meet John?
cheers
James

Refresh my memory on the date & location - I've not really been following the thread as it's soooooo long ! It's the start of the 'dreaded' white box on wheels season @ Easter, so I will probably be away .........
Regarding shocks, I thought from the ref to Pete, he had found another outlet for them ? I'd either like adjustable ones or something fairly stiff to stop sagging when any weight on board, much as your own requirement.
TTFN,
John.
N.B. Should be picking new motor up this weekend !

Hi John!
Good to see you on the forum. After talking to James at the meet he mentioned his problem with carrying weight in the car and wishing to have adjustable ride level/shocks. This reminded me of an interesting item I saw on the old E*** auction site! After mentioning it to James I passed the details on, as the auction had ended some time before the meet, so he contacted the seller. Unfortunately I will need to look for replacement shocks soon I think. So any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, as I too am quite alarmed by how low the rear of the car sits when fully loaded.
Pete
PS, It would be good if you could post some pics of the new car once you've collected it John, looks very nice!

John - the meet looks like being in Milton Keynes on the 10th April. There is a vote in progress, so if you want to register a vote for a venue nearer you (MK is the closest one offered sadly), pop on to the last page and add a brief reply.
It is possible to get these shocks anytime - I have a phone number right in front of me for a stockist here in Derby. Trouble is, they'll only do a limited discount from the RRP of £175. The original offer of £75 was reasonable, but I was hoping to snag a bit of a discount from the guy - say £75 incl shipping - since he'd listed it twice with no sale. He almost seemed offended by this! I said fair play, you know where I am when you can't sell it to anyone else
I don't have a problem with the way the rear end sags under load - but it does mean I can't use the cheap 'lowering blocks' method of lowering the rear!
cheers
James

That date maybe alright, but it's a fair way (although not as far as some suggestions !) so I'll see nearer the time - I don't think there's any point adding another location, as the thread could go on for ever + there's not really anyone this far North who's active.
Shocks - tried the site mentioned by the other guy, but no prices on them. I think I might have that original guys email address somewhere, as he was in Leeds, so may pursue them as they do seem cheap compared to the price you got quoted James.
Pete - will post some pics of new car over the next couple of weeks. It does need a lot of work though to bring it up to 'my' standard !
Cheers for now,
John.

Hi John,
Looking forward to those pictures of the new addition! It's nice to see the very high standards you aim for with your cars, your black 360 really does look fantastic, so all credit to you and your hard work, time and effort.
Pete

You mean all that hard work and time spent looking for a clean late-model high-spec example to start with
cheers

HA HA, yes you're partly right James !!
Cheers for your comments Pete - sometimes I wish I'd never started down the cleaning route again, as it can become slightly obsessive !! Don't think I'll be doing that with the 'new' one though, just a clean useable one this time !!
See ya,
John
