Hi guys just thought i would post some pics of everything i have done so far this holiday!!!
Well the gauges in the panel are only tempory as some of you know!!!
i am very pleased with the light brows, and i thought the engine bay was lacking some colour!!!
But my main mod is the interior!! Anyone seen a 3door with a redline interior before?
Take a look at this!! I must thank mick for the seat covers and Foggy for the headrests!!! It took ages to do as i have recovered the 3door seats with 5/4 door seat covers!!! I am very pleased with the results!!
What you reckon guys?
Cheers Adam

Looks really nice, well done.
How did you solve the corners of the bottom part of the back bench in the conversion from 4/5 doors to 3 doors seater ? In a 4/5 door seater those corners are rounded to make getting in easier for the back passengers. What did you use to fill those ugly holes in the front corners of the seatings of the back bench. Why I ask this because I am buzzy with transforming a blue-line interior of a 4/5 doors to a 3 doors. I am still do not know what to use in those corners.

That all looks excellent. The Redline interior looks like you've worked hard on it, and suits it nicely. I like the subtle pic including snowcap, looks very nice. The engine bay really does look neat. If only I had the time to mess about with my cars more......one day......... Keep up the good work mate.

@ Honingbij I am making up some metal plates up to cover the holes!! I too found this problem, however i feel a metal plate either ally, stainless steel or even paint some steel the same colour as the seats/carpet!!

hello,
You're car looks amazing!!! Looks like a special edition 340!
You have a 1.4 right? what is the airfilter unit you have there? and how did you pipe in the crankcase ventilation system? I know that the system uses vacuum from the carb and also vacuum from the airfilter...
looks good!
Shimon
Enjoy your 300s

@ john360 Steering wheel was an ebay job. Its actually the one produced for volvo by momo for non airbagged 400 models. As for the boss i struggled on this too as momo dont make one as far as i can tell!! the one i used was the 400 one. It wasnt easy though, but the fact the spline is the same helped my decision greatly.
Basically on the 400 boss i machined off the stalk that relocated the indicator stalks after turning, and had to bore two holes to accomodate the horn contact ring from a 300, afetr fitting there is a 10mm gap between boss and column surrond which i have a cut down rubber sleeve on at the mo. But when i have the time i wil machine an ally spacer!!!

@ shimon340 The airfilter box is 100% custom. The filter is the bolt on one you can buy from K&N, however i warn people this is not bolt on as the choke mechanism gets in the way so a sleeve needs to be made!!
Anyway the box is there purely because i had the dreaded carb freezing problem!! So i have a hot air feed into the box for winter etc. As for the crank case breather mine no longer enters the filter box, it has its own filter, i have never had any probs with either since the box was made. As long as the fliters are kept clean they work very well, and when combined with a decent back box they sound trully awesome!!!
Cheers Adam

Cheers for that - mine was from a 480, so yes the spline fits, but as you say the cancel peg for the indicator is wrong - had thought about trying to adapt a 300 ring as well. Will keep you posted !!
TTFN,
John

No an astrali boss has the holes on a larger PCD and so wont fit, i think mountney do a step down ring as they use the same size as astrali and as momo!!!

Luisi has the same bolt pattern as the Momo does. At least my R-Sport wheel bolts on to the Luisi boss.
