I bought my 360GLT on tuesday, I'm so happy now, i was playing with it all day... err acquainting myself with the B200E.

Anyway it has several electrical issues that i'm having problems with, that we're going through tomorrow(i never realised how many wires the car had till u need to find where they all lead too). Needs a coat of paint, and the exhaust system leaves a lot to be desired.

On the uphand of it, i was planning on replacing just about everything on the car anyway... now i just have a good excuse to, and its got those good alloys on em with good rubber too so when i get to swappin them wheels over they(and the 2 spares) will be for sale 5lab and Duvel if ur still interested then.

Oh 3 questions for the night, its an 1985 model with the B200E in it, does it have an ECU? If so, where? and with the programmable ECU's, who seems to have the most stable ones?

all injection models surely have an ecu??

are they the nice chunky 5spoke alloys? unfortunatly i think the shipping cost will be sale-hinderingly-high

yep they are the same style as off my old car, as for shipping i havent bothered looking into it, but i dont see why it would be so high unless there is a fat import tax or the sort in europe.

I'll be sure to have a stickybeak when i pull the dashboard out next time, who is recommended for programmable ECU's to fit in?
Hehe i've barely had the car a week and already back into it... next week i'm rippin the exhasut manifold and head gasket out to find a leak that can be heard when running the engine.

I do plan on trickin the engine up a bit, but i'm not one for turbo's... not my thing, so i'm left looking for other ways to up power, most power upgrades usually fall into the field of cramming more air/fuel into the chamber, which works at the expense of fuel economy, however it will be a daily driver also and i dont plan on doubling my fuel bill. Anyway, what are the downsides of a higher compression as that seems a good way to make power without fuel economy compromises and what are a few ways of upping it? Currently the only thing i can think of is thinning the head gasket so i'm asking for the experiences of the wise who hath trod this path before
