All that concerns A.C., engine mounts, 360 fan clutch, and the list gets bigger every week...

Today I found two diff gaskets in my volvo dealer who has it stored since 1991!!

The bad part is about the sorround panel that holds the intrument cluster. It's a discontinued part, This weekend go to a scrap yard to find one (I don't know if RHD sorround is available).

300 discontinued parts
think you're done much quicker asking which 300 series parts they still DO have?

Yes I agree on that.
Volvo: We have three sparkplugs and a half waterpump, thats all?

But I think it would be a great or maybe some "halfsmart" idea having a pinned topic with every "NS" or "discontinued part" at the top.

I can get most pannels for the 300. I have not heard back from the manufature that was hoping to use. I can sill get most pannels from a company I use no gen.

The pannel you are reffering to is just the front valance - best to replace complete front pannel.

Today news... From a 360 ( B200E )

Coolant temperature sensor ---> Discontinued
Thermal time switch ---> Discontinued

Me: wow, then, if one of both sensors fail, junk the car ?
Dealer: I don't know... Don't buy 20 years old cars and those things never will happen... :shock: :shock: :shock:

In the other hand, they've rocker cover gaskets and oil filters ! wow ! :roll:

Tell them to go jump! Yeah instead when something goes wrong on your new over priced shiney piece of plastic covered tin, you'll get robbed by the stealership for them to plug it in to their fancy computer to read the error code to then rob you blind once again for the part and fitting it!

I just ignore such comments and the usual remarks made about my cars being old. Sometimes I feel smug in the knowledge that my car will pribably out last theirs! I've pretty much given up explaining my choice to own such a car, I'm not forced to own an old car for any reason, it's my choice!

I've a list of bits and piece to try and find at the dealership. We'll see how that goes! I was speaking to a Volvo technician the other day, who was saying how it's now affecting the 850's, as some of the parts are discontinued thanks to Ford.

Meh, your cars aren't old, they can't even (or barely can) drink legally!

In some ways the Dolomite has better support than the 300, as there are several companies remanufacturing bits, although there's still a fair amount of unobtanium.
