Hey i was just wondering if anybody has ever put the 2.0 litre 16v f4r lump (172/182) in a 340?
I have not seen any on here, which makes me think it could be troubble but from what i have seen there is nothing stopping you from getting one to fit, just the same as a f7p/f7r?
Any help is good, Cheers Ben

The bottom end is very similar so would technically bolt in however chain driven oil pumpo causes lots of problems.

If you arn't worried about fabbing up or modding a sump it shouldn't be a problem. The sexy VVC ness would let you run some lairy cams too
Having said that, both me and housemate prefer the power delivery of Fake vs his 182, mine seems to be much more noticeable onto the cams though his I'm pretty certain feels torquier. There really isn't a huge amount in it though

Cheers guys, I think i might have a go in the summer if i can get hold of a cheapish F4R, Im toying between the idea of doing that or getting something like a gt25/28 for the valver lump

, don't think i can go down the turbo route on the cheap though....
