Go on admiral.com , shoot for a quote with a full licence and your mam and dad is 2nd and third drivers.
Weather they drive or not.

polo 998s are cheap. To buy, run, tax insure etc.
the older the better.

The one griffo had (breadvan) looked supercool.
FWD but the old ones are full of retrocool.
Polo love

its a shame you migt have to sell man.

I take it you've tried price comparison websites? If this is the case for all companies then insurance has rocketed.

everything has gone up , polos are 1200 on provisional licence and 2400 wen iv passed my test which gives my more flexability with cash funds to run it .volvo id do that but couldnt run it or insure it the year after because only a part time job

How old is it? Surely there's some specialist out there?

Other than that is your postcode doing you no favours? Got a relative living somewhere leafy where you could go to "stay"?

Try Liverpool Victoria or LV as they are now mate thats who i was with, i know insurance has gone up but based on the car being group5-6 insurance there has to be someone that will do it.
Have you tried the comparison websites?

Try aviva, think they quoted me around 1200 if i hadnt had my licence for a year. With some one as a named driver who hadnt crashed or anything.

The only things I can think of that might help you are to offer to reduce your mileage, add an alarm (not all companies require an alarm, Endsleigh were happy to accept an A level project of mine 5 or so years ago) or similar. Fully comp often comes out cheaper for our cars than third party too, as it's taken as a sign that with something this old we'll car about it if we ask for fully comp. A 300 is likely to be written off if anything happens so increasing your excess is an option just be *very* aware of what this entails in the long run if you ever have to claim.

Have you just been running internet searches? They really don't get you the best deal, you have to spend the time ringing *everyone* up. Ask the operator what you can do to get it down, brokers will be helpful here rather than companies like direct line though even then I've managed to get 30% off the internet price at times.
