I seem to have coolant leak, I am pretty sure my Head gaskets is the cause. I can see coolant leak down the block on the forward most cylinder, it does appear to be from the water pump (its only 3000 miles old) and theres no coolant pipe close.

So head gasket has been ordered and its alittle job to fit in between uni work for next week :?

I'd make sure you undo the head bolts in the correct order, not sure with the redblock ones but check if you need to replace the bolts (some cars you do), check the head is completely flat using a flat edge, if not it could need skimming. Follow pettaw's youtube video and you'll be fine :)

It might be the waterpump to head seal that's gone, not the headgasket. The pump has a rubber O ring that is on top of the pump and under the overhang of the head. If the ring has perished, been squashed or fitted incorrectly it'll leak coolant down the foremost cyl side of the block.
