What are the rims, the picture isn't visible to me for some reason?

Edit ignore that ^ just my stupid PC playing up.

Looks good on those with black centers and i like the cheeky little boot spoiler too, coming along well this one :D

Such a nice day today, great time to do some detailing :D Also got some new stickers, car is about ready for york now, engine needs a few more layers of polish but I'll leave that until the day. Removed the coachline on the boot, didn't look right. I was going to do the whole car but I'm worried my technique of rubber, ice scraper and stick stuff remover is taking the lacquer off the paint. It looks fine like this for now:

Sweet those Williams sticker look nicely subtle on there, like it could've been a Volvo factroy special :D

Oh and get some linseed oil on those bumpers, they'll come up a treat for 5-10mins work

Re: Speedy88's The Tardis: Got any gear?

Box diagnosed as fucked by adam at york. New box time! I also bought the last 2 gearbox/diff gaskets from Volvo in the whole country. Had a nice chat with the parts guy at the local dealer, he then said "it's weird how nobody's ever tried putting a renault 5 turbo engine in one of those". Que bonnet popping time!

If I get this first time without messing it up I'll gladly sell the spare gasket to anyone who wants it. Lots of heat and hammer and I've got the box hanging off. It's ready to come out but it started pissing it down :x I guess I'll have to finish it tomorrow.

How many miles had the gearbox it done? Just wondered as my 1.7 340s done about 130,000. I'm going to change the oil anyway before I put it back on the road, it was fine when I last drove it

135,000. The box I'm putting in has done 160,000, it just depends how well it's been looked after I guess. The one I'm taking out hasn't had an oil change in a long long time. I wasn't able to change the oil because I never got those bolts off but it's needed one since I bought it at 117,000. This is what low oil and racing around can do to a gearbox :) Pretty stupid, I should have probably done it last year but it got to that point when I thought there was no reason to try and save it.

Fakes is orig at 219,000. It's had me driving it since 160 (poor box) and is still fine, though it I'm not sure it has synchros on 2nd and 3rd really anymore but I don't use them.

They seem tough things tbh

Theres hope for mine then. I think it's had careful owners, the people before me were solicitors and I think the other 4 owners, judging by the names and addresses (on bills) were older careful diver types! Best change the oil before I use it, sounds like if you look after them they last for ever then.
