I think im getting towards the bottom of the list of questions lol

Well, now it would appear that because mine is an early mk2 1.4. It has a cross member with the engine mounts underneath the engine. I've got the newer style crossmember but ive been reliably informed im now going to need a newer style ARB to go with it. My mates got a late 360, saloon if its make any difference. Would the anti-roll bar off that fit or do i need to specifically find a mk3 1.7 arb? Thanks for any help, again

AFAIK the 360 have a different drop link set-up to the 1.4 and 1.7 engined 340s. I guess it could be adapted to fit, but its a bit of a hassle.

late 360's use drop links that go onto the strut housing, a bracket could be made but might be a hasstle. AFAIK all others (340's and earlier 360's) use the link pin that goes into the bottom arm with rubber bushes.
Not sure what the earlier crossmember is like but i would have guessed the ARB mounts would be the same?

I think it was jon-ovlov that told me on facebook. Apparently the early mk2 1.4 ARB is a different layout to the later mk3's. So i need to use a 1.7 or an early 360 one? How much should i be expecting to pay for one as im still new so dont know the prices of things yet

Depends on the age of mk2, this is where the super geeks have their happiness in the mk system we use, not all mk2's are equal

yeah Chris is right. Mine was an early mk2. I've got the old ARB somewhere, so I can grab a pic and you can compare. Mine was definitely different to the 1.7 one though. What year is your MK2? got mine off Adam (340GLT) on here, I got it for £15 summat like that. Wasn't expensive at all to be fair.

Mines a B reg too. So you'll have the same ARB as I did, the older one. 1.7 ARB is your best bet then.
