hi guys

just finished all the work on the engine now looking to concentrate on the suspension

Do people have know what works well with these engines do give better handling. Will be using it for road and drift sometimes.

Need to know spring poundage, weather its worth changing the ARB and all the poly bushes i can. Rear dampers? new leaf springs ?

Has anyone tried the new front engine mounts you can get from the for sale section? what did they think?

Any help would be great

Front springs want to be an extra 10 - 20 lbs stiffer than normal 1.7 uprated drift springs. Front shocks want to be the best you can buy and must be gas.

You need to make sure the strut top sare in good condition. Check the bushes for wear. If they look swelled or cracked they will need replacing.

Back end normaly lower by 2" and use the adjustable shocks for good road and drift. For more serious drift work then it is worth going to coil overs.

Yer suppose it all depends on how much money you have. I don't have much lol!

I have aftermarket lowering springs and blocks on mine (not sure who they were from as it was done before I bought the car) But the shocks up front are still like a boat, I can't afford monotubes etc just yet so for the time being providing the dampers are still original i'm going to use thicker oil in them to stiffen them up a bit. As for the rear I have new OE spec shocks on the back so there fine for the time being. When I feel the need to I shall probably invest in the adjustable shocks or buy Landrover shocks as these fit straight on.

As said it depends on budget. If you have a good one then go for the proper stuff, if not there are alternatives out there which may not perform quite aswell as the real deal, but should still be safe for road use and make a noticeable difference.

As for the rear i recently purchased some Land Rover Defender 90 Front shocks and they are almost a straight swap for the originals, but much stiffer.

I think they were £35 for a pair from ebay

intresting any more info on the landrover shocks???

front shocks on the rear or?

i was lookign at trying a renault coil over set up.. can easily get brackets made for the rear

if you are going to the lengths of sticking coilovers on the rear then I would look into designing a watts link setup to totally replace the rear leaf setup. Though the 2.3 turbo 360 that just sold had coilovers and leafs.

Whats your idea?

buya coil over set up. and create brackers for the rear and then probably the same up front maybe lol btu i mgith do it with a shell first

I got uprated gas shocks up front combined with stiffer springs(rear volvo 240 lowering springs), whiteline swaybar, poly brushes and it works well, but i would like to have some even stiffer and shorter shocs..

In the rear i got Classicswede`s adjustable shocks, they are a great upgrade!

First one to find shorter and stiffer front shocks (bolt on) for our beloved 360 gets a hug from me

Been following the 'Landy Damper' thread over at tramp drift.

They have been using Landrover Defender 90 Front struts on the rears.

They are studed at each end so dont require any brakets to fit.

They do need some slight modification to the bushes (remove the steel insert on the landy ones) if i remeber correctly.

One of the people who fitted them said they made the back end quite stiff and would definately need the fronts uprating (diff oil/upgraded inserts) to match it.
