Just wondering if it is at all possible to fit power steering onto a 1986 340 1.7 GL? I am right in thinking that it is not possible at all?

search is your friend bud. but to be honest, the PAS assembly is quite hard to come by, and if im honest, isnt needed. i drift and drive fine with no PAS, with a welded diff, with the heavier williams engine in. only time i really moan is when.parking, but thats really being picky. your top mount bearings ok? if the steering is heavy, might mean theyre wearing out.

Thats sick! Where abouts is that? Is it just a massive roundabout? Also is that just a standard 1.7 engine?

Thats quite a good little spot! Never get caught lol. Did you used to have 1.7? I was just wondering how well they drift?

Cheers Mark.

Cheers Mark! I used a go-pro, it uses a suction pad mount. It's a light camera, so stays on pretty well.
Ben, Yeah, the spot is great, a round-a-bout in the middle of no-where, no one is around. I used to have the 1.4 engine in it. It did drift, but pretty much only in the wet, and you had to push it hard. I didn't have it for too long with the 1.4 and drift it, just used it to drive around for a bit.

im pretty sure a 1.7 will drift, wont be so easy but more speed and throw it in harder and it will go with with the diff welded and stiffen it up abit, i think in the wet you wouldn't have any troubles, i have a standard 1.4 340 and you can have a laugh in that in the wet if you throw it hard enough

Yeah should be fun with the 1.7

In the wet it should go out pretty easy
