3inch lowering blocks + anti tramp bar

Post by Attack2001 » 21 Jun 2012 02:30 am

Hi all, got my 3inch blocks on now, and having the same problem as everyone else with the anti tramp bar. Will it fit if i tighten it up with the car on the ground, or have i got to shorten it? if i've got to shorten it, has anyone done it and how much did you shorten it by to save me some time?

Any other ideas? Its fully loosened, both ends.

Thought you knew evrything tom?? lol

You can use it the length that it is. but the axel has to have the weight init, or do what a few other skid guys have done, cut it in half, take about an inch and a half out, weld a nut onto each cut part, get a threaded stud and basically make yourself a adjustable anti tramp bar...

if that makes sence...

You should know me by now, course i do

Cheers, got it all sorted now. got the car up in the air and put the axle stands under the axle, someone sat in the boot, jack under the tyre to jack the axle up and in it went :D

Thanks, Thomas....................
