This is going to be a thread to keep you all updated on my brake upgrade. I will post pics that i have and keep posting until the parts are bolted onto the car!!
To let those of you know who dont already i am using 280mm Vented Golf G60 Rallye Disks on the front with Subaru Impreza calipers.
The back will have solid disks around the same diameter with 2WD cosworth Calipers.
The front setup is nearly done!! The disks are mounted on the hubs and i have refurbed some front struts to allow me to develop this setup off the car. The hubs need to be skimmed on the back then i can make the caliper mounting brackets.
Pics to follow.

2WD cossie calipers dont they use a cable setup through tha caliper and the arm on the caliper is the same/similar to the 300 arm on the drums so problem solved!!!!

Right guys here is what most have been after!!!!
The first pics are of a reconned strut!!!

Here is the complete strut looking very new!!!!
Image

Here you can see the new platform and the extra thick bead of weld!!!
Image

And here you can see we welded the top side aswell for extra strength!!
Image

Right this is a comparison of the two disks on hubs!! As you can see the standard one is a dwarf compared to the G60 ones!!!
Image
Image

This is a close up of the new disks!!
Image

Here you can see the extra holes drilled in the disk!!
Image

And this is a comparison of the two calipers!! As you can see the twin pot design of the impreza ones are much larger!!
Image
Image

And here is a mock up of the complete setup!! As you can see its not true as there is no bracket for caliper yet!!!

Dude! Nice one! Erm, no wanting to put a cat among the pigeons (and I havn't actually checked..) but I'm sure there was a rumour a lil while ago that Corrado G60's bolted straight on, maybe they would have not needed drilling??? Though I can't see golf and corrados being a different PCD.

Right then, so how much you selling set's for then ;)

No mate the wheel PCD is the same but the hub doesnt use those. it use like a PCD of 96 i think not 100mm. Oh and the disks are the same disks as the Corrado ones!!!

That is looking very good indeed Adam. Good work that man! So many upgrades going on at the moment, it's all good for 300 modding.

Well i finally got round to machining the hubs down today!!! Look looovely!!!! If you look at the pics of the hub centre you can see the fresh metal that i machined down to, i have skimmed 4.5mm off the back off these to allow clearance for the caliper carrier.
