Wheels
Hey
looking on ebay i found several alloys but im not sure whether they will fit the 360. Is 15inch the highest you can get for the 360, will 16inches fit?
Do you think these will fit the 360? and tell me which you think looks better?
I like the mazda ones but they dont come with tyres

Both those wheels WILL fit in your 360..
16" wheels will also fit in 360 but only with right Offset-number /PCD
Ive also seen that someone has fitted 17" wheels in 360 but that requires extra modding with fenderflares

What? 17inches goes on like a dream, even with a lowered car..
I've got the standard shocks (probably from 1989, when the car was new
), chopped of 1.5 rounds of the frontsprings (suspension, my english is very bad, i'm from Norway you see
), lowered the leafsprings with a 40 by 40 millimeters block. And the tires goes freely..!
The tire-dim is 215-40-17. I'm going to drive with 205-40-17 in the front, and 215-40-17 reartires.
The rims are some KOSEI ones.. All you have to think of, is the OFFSET ! ET40 is a nice offset with a pair of 17inches..
Here are some pics.. Bad pics, thoug..

And the car is beeing "rebuilt", i'm going to repaint it, fit some new fenders and maybe a new rearwing.

Nah, Compomotive wheels are heavy, if you like good looking wheels that are light, there is no substitute for Volk, weight is under 3kg, they are ridiculous strong and looks good, specially with black spokes and silver/alu edge.
Well, they cost a bit, but I think not much more than Compomotive, more than my 360 for sure

Oh yes, Gulbrandsen_Racing, I doubt a bit that wheels wont scrub arches, well maybe not on road, but I do some trackdays and suspension does bottom out and even stock wheels/tires there is bit marking on arch, it is maybe because front shocks does not have bump stops at all. There is specially one chicane where road drops almost 1 meter, very tight place, I do it around 80kph and once hurted my back as landing was rough, well there front end bottoms out every time and any bigger diamater tire than stock would tear wheel arch out instantly.
I do have stock GLT front suspension, under 1 year old shocks+springs.
I'm regarding wheels to fit only when suspension is bottomed out with wheels turned and tires still not scrubbing anything.
I need also recommend that you replace those shocks, it really is not fun whit stiffer springs and worn shocks, control is lost really easy on corners if there is little bump, trust me I have tested and it is not fun at all to find out that car stopped turning and is flying towards wall, luckily got grip back on time, but that was close then

Volk rims are indeed the daddies.
Scrubbing is a very complex issue, and has far more to do with rim width, tyre width, rim offset, suspension set, etc than the rim diameter. Beyond a certain size, rims are purely for show, but they do look great - that car above on the 5 spokes looks awesome.
People used to appear on the Micra forum my former flatmate was a member of and ask "can I fit 16s to my Micra". It used to annoy the crap out of me, but then they were just silly ricers
cheers

The 17s do look ok but I still think they're overkill for the car. Even with it lowered the car is never going to look low on those wheels, at the moment I think the only particularly low cars have been on 13's and 14's, i'd like to see the same ride height on 15's but I really think thats the maximum. 16s or 17's would be nice if you could get the car lower and roll the arches majorly though but you'll be on the bump stops before you get it low enough so you'd need a pretty nice suspension setup for that!
