I sent my pair of 164 calipers for over hall by a local refurb company. I had a phone call off them saying then had found a crack in one on pressure testing and therfore could not repair it. I checked them over before sending them off and had seen nothing wrong.
Anyway i had the one done and collected the dead unit at the same time. Well a crack was a little understated
If I had reuilt this unit myself with a seal kit I would not have found the crack and the unit could have burst in use!

Good thing they did pressure test, quite bad crack it revealed
Luckily Volvo has dual circuit brakes, one of first manufacturers to use them

It's a '69 model B30A with an M410 (4psd+OD)...creme/white with blue leather...and after the PO ran it dry of fuel, it doesn't run. I think it's not getting fuel...porous lines, or similar. The weather has been too crappy for me to want to sort it out...
cheers

That sounds pretty nice, running problem indeed can't be nothing too serious if PO told the truth and why wouldn't he.
Hopefully weather allows to check it soon, 6 cylinders is quite nice music and once one gets used to it those 4 bangers starts to sound some kind faulty, like something would be missing

Good thought Dai. As you can probably tell, I haven't even got that far yet.
Luckily I have ~1/2 mile of private road from my unit to 'real' road, so it can take a few outings once it's back up and running...
cheers
James
