Probably a good place to start for cheap but well made wheels would be some sort of Volvo 400 series alloy wheel in 15", plenty of styles to choose from so start scouring ebay!

Must be a low offset? You should have no trouble with a 15" wheel with an offset of 25-35

Yup, BMW wheels are offset'd in the wrong way for working nicely on 300's, well, e30s are at least

I'd be surprised if the E30 has a lower offset than 25 though? Which should be fine on a 300

When you say budget, how much? Plus what sixe wheels 14", 15", 16" ?

For me the 340/360 needs low offset rims to work, as the standard arches are huge.

E30 bottle caps are silly cheap you can pick up a clean set for 40 quid easy.....

Clio Turbines are nice wheels in the "correct" offset........

Personally I love weller wheels, good strong wheels that don't bucket and can be easily repaired (not light mind) but they provide a nice dish.

Turbines cost a MINT, Wellers are timeless cool but hard to get, and expensive in 4x100.

A lot of VW fitment are about the right offset.

BBSs are always knocking round ebay cheap in 14 and 15in 4x100.
And they DO look good on 300s.

The mail problem with 300 wheels, is the massive choice!
(and the high price of good wheels)

True, however most sets can be taken to a machine shop to have a 4x100 PCD stud pattern drilled into them. How much would a machine shop charge to drill 16 holes?

The two closest to me quoted £15 a corner when I was looking to cross drill fords (theres a thread somewhere).
They also warned that the holes really should be lipped and that the extra in holes in the thinish steel (compared to alloys) may reduce structural integrity.

....................So I bottled it!

Im sure loads of folk have done it without any problems though. :D

What offset are the Clio turbines out of interest? I would've thought pretty high coming from FWD :( 25-30 is ideal for a much meaner looking stance

Turbines (clio) are: 6.5j and 15" with an offset of 35.
