Fitting new discs without pads

Now I'm pretty cheap and hate to waste anything. I have pads on my car which are about 1/3 to 1/2 used up. My discs are lipped beyond belief so I could really use some new ones pretty soon but I'd like to keep my current pads. Will this cause me any problems? Obviously I know used pads will perform worse than new ones on new discs however I'm willing to take that risk for moneysaving

will be fine really. Just remember you'll have to change the pads eventually

In a word yes you can re use the old pads. However i wouldn't myself as they are more than likely worn unevenly and may wear your new discs out quicker. So your cost cutting measures may well end up being exactly the opposite.

Stop being a tight git, new pads are a tenner!

It goes deeper than that, I already have pads which I got for a very reasonable price. Better than a tenner! I'm that cheap that I don't want to waste these pads

Ok, I'll do it that way then.
