Hello, the oil pressure sensor is just above the alternator - perhaps the wire has come off it or it needs replacing.

Okay I found the oil pressure sender and it has no wires hooked up to it.so what wires do I need to run from it and to where?

Hello,
Its a black wire with a push-on rubber connector at the end. It comes out of the same part of the wiring loom as a red wire that connects onto the alternator.
Bests for now.

Okay on the alternator is it supposed to be just the red wire plugged into it ? Because I have a red and a black wire into the alternator but the black maybe for the pressure sender. This is what my sender looks like.

And here's my alternator if you look at it red and black wire come out same way from loom. but I have red and black wire attached to alternator. Is that black wire supposed to be on the alternator or pressure sender. Thanks

On mine the black wire goes onto the pressure sender but yours does not look like the standard one so probably you need to experiment with which terminal on the pressure sender the black wire should go onto.

Okay so the black wire shouldn't be hooked to my alternator? Got it will take it off when I get home from work and tinker with it.

Do you have an oil pressure gauge or just the warning light?
This is probably what you need to look at.

now when the car is running the oil light will go off. But when I turn the car off, with no keys in it, oil light will stay on no matter what until I disconnect the battery.

Any good?
I have the 300 series oil pressure gauge on my 360 and it is VDO so atleast it will tie in with the rest of the gauges.

You need to figure out what type of sender it is, it may have a simple warning light connection and a variable output or just the variable output. I suspect it is 2 terminal variable output only, so it won't drive the light directly.
Alternatively you could just get a replacement simple sender.

Figured out it is a 2 terminal variable output only so going to buy one that is a warning light connection and a variable output. So the light can turn off and so i can have an actual oil pressure gauge, thanks for the help!
