Heater blowing cold

Post by Jaypee » 21 Dec 2005 11:27 pm

Here's what happened. The car has been working great heaterwice previously, but today as I left for work (it's freezing outside, -12 degrees celsius) I started the car, put on the heater and went to scrape the windows. Came back in the car and WOOT?! No warm air! Didn't mind it too much, figured that it's still too cold and warm air will come out as the motor gets warm. Well the motor DID get warm - faster than usual, but the air coming inside is still freezing!! Checked these things :
- There is coolant - OK
- The strap operating the waterpump is not broken - OK

Could it be the thermostat?
1988 Volvo 340 DL - A bit rusty but working
1988 Toyota Supra 3.0i with a JDM 7M-GTE -90 turbo engine - Fast as hell

nope, else your engine would not warm up either.

sounds like a plugged up heater radiator...
