Exhaust Manifold

Post by Geez » 15 Jan 2005 03:37 pm

Hi guys. Just to share a bit of info I am about to replace the manifold to head gaskets on my 360. Apparently according to my local dealer this is a common prob on these cars and until it gets to the late stages not always easy to diagnose. When one of therse gaskets first starts to fail it can sound like a tappet rattle or as in my case sounded worryingly like a cam knock so its something worth checking if you got these kind of noises. Original Volvo gaskets are about £13 and in stock at most dealers and fitting takes about an hour and a half for someone competant, so I expect to have it done by about March time  sm62 Regards,Geez

Nice, I think my car has very bad exhaust valve rattle, but now there is another possibility. Well, new more sporty exhaust manifold is coming at some stage, that should take care of it ;)
