Has anyone removed the factory cooling fan running from the crank and replaced with an electric unit on the above model??
Is there any glaring issues with using a kit for this and more importantly does it give the engine a bit more poke and reduce its thirst.. As the fan sure is a noisy bugger, so it must put some strain on the engine....
Thanks
Sam

Hi Sam...
Few people have done an electric fan conversion but it does make sense... however it probably wont free up masses amounts of power or fuel consumption though. Kenlowe are the famous electric fan kits - and come with an adjustable thermostatic controller so you can get it to kick in at the correct temperature.
