empty!,
how good is your memory Speedy? 30kg seems a bit low?

(the weight determines if a carriage cost is £30 or £100 (don't ask)) so I need to be exact.

My M47R was 53kg, including fluids, which from memory is about 3 litres of gear oil and 1 litre of diff oil, so say 49kg dry. I'm not sure how much the 5th gear adds onto the weight but I suspect it's still bloody heavy.

Thanks Alex,

The extra weight for the 5th gear/case extension will be matched by the M45R having a cast iron case.

Unless anybody knows differently - 49kg it is.

Wow didn't realise it was that much. I guestimated by comparing it to a bag of cement. It's on the limit of my lifting abilities, I know that much

It's no more than 50kg, I move the buggers around almost daily as I tidy up my lockup. I could find out for definite but my scales only read to 32 kg

Using human scales

360 M47R with 5th gear = 28kg
5 speed diff = 18kg

=46kg dry

53kg - 4 litres of oil won't be 49, oil is lighter than water, so more like 50 kg :P lol
