Help please

Post by TurboTomSportive » 28 Sep 2011 08:33 am

I've just been given a welded diff from a 360 2.0 (carb) and some front legs with cut springs and some thick oil in the shocks. But will a 360 diff bolt straight onto my 1.4 4speed gearbox and will the front legs be interchangeable. Also will the driveshafts fit??

I'm goin to attempt all this Saturday but if it defiantly won't fit then I'll have to think of something else

Cheers

driveshafts fit, diff wont.

you need a 4-spd diff OR swap both the 5spd gearbox + 5spd diff together

No it won't fit, I'd wait until you've picked up my box (and by that I mean vagina) to install the new diff.

Front struts will fit but will not give the correct geometry, how much difference it will make I don't know. I did have a 360 once with 340 struts in it and it felt aweful, like there was no grip, really light steering.

Driveshafts (Half shafts) will fit, main driveshaft/propshaft is not interchangable.

If you have a 360 gearbox+diff, it won't fit directly but I think you can swap over bits, Might take longer and need some new gaskets though. As already said a 5 speed diff will not fit on a 4 speed box.
