VOLVO 343 parts needed

Hi Guys, I'm pleased to be here! I'm from Poland and I just bought the wonderful car- VOLVO 343 1.4 B14 KW47 (1982)! I'm so happy! However, my Baby needs some stuff that I have difficulty finding in Poland... I urgently need a collector, 2 timing gears with a tensioner and a gasket for the timing case... With time, I will look for minor stuff The collector may be second-hand the rest should be brand-new Please let me know if you can help in any way. I'm not aware of where you could buy the timing gear items new, but I'm also not aware of ever hearing anyone changing them. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a B14 expert, though!

What's a collector? I think maybe we have a small translation issue! Can you describe the item? I'm sure we'll do our best to help.

James, it might be the timing chain cover. Mariusz posted on the DCA forum a few days ago and we haven't heard back...

Most of those bits should be easy to find and similar to a Renault C1E / Cleon / Sierra engine. That had a 40-odd year production run and I think a version was last used in the Renault Twingo.

(Funnily enough, I was chatting to a Polish guy at work who was asking if it was my Volvo in the car park the other day. Turns out he had a 1979 343 up until last year, but seems to have had issues getting spares for it in recent times. I'll have to ask him about the alloys, because he said he kept them.)
