Someone I know who owned a Volvo 240 told me:
"There's usually also a bypass in the form of

> throttle openings."
Does the 360GLT have such a bypass?
Maybe it could be clogged or something, causing a lack of air at low revs.
mass air flow for 360glt
air meter bypass?
360GLT
airflow meter...

That can cause various kinds of mayhem. The best way to check for
leaks is to get a stethoscope and pull off the pickup end, and with
the engine running, just poke the end of the steth tube around all
seals. You should be able to hear if there are any pressure leaks.
Jaycar sell suitable stethoscopes fairly cheaply.

I don't think so, because the car wouldn't idle.
> I was thinking the vane might be stiff, giving a low airflow reading
What can happen is that the carbon track on the attached potentiometer
gets a groove worn in it. I've heard of one being fixed by tweaking the
slider to a slightly different diameter, off the worn track... assuming
you can't replace the whole pot without springing for a new meter.

360GLT
air flow meter serial number
White-wolf..
My 1986 360GLT has a 0 280 202 034 on it, your number is different.
I see
http://www.atpelectronics.co.uk/Catalog ... ow%20Meter
says a 360GLE injection uses a 0 280 202 034
there are a few sites that say things about Bosch Jetronic injection

Were there two systems used?
also, i just put a new topic L Jetronic injection, has an interesting url

Well Brad, I really do not know what to say about the differet serial nombers. There are not many 360s around here and I cannot compare the parts or the problems... So I cannot tell u about the serial nombers of the maf. The serial I posted here came from a parts catalogue. I cannot tell u for sure the original part because when I bought the car it was allready "adjusted". For some time it worked ok but with a lot of fuel. Then I tryed to fix it and still does not "eat" decently. About bypassing it, I think is not a good ideea, even if u could do it. The problem is the ecu needs those signals sent by maf. And this ecus are old generation, thus they cannot be tuned.
Hey white wolf, someone mentioned using a 200 series B200e air meter, which wouldnt work as its k-jet... ok, how would you go if u hooked it in, and got the 200 series ECU and pluged it in... i'm guessing theres gonna be something that doesnt sit happy with it, but it was something i thought i'd toss out there for you.

maf
similar system was used on opel ascona etc. ALL other Volvo models are equipped with K-jetronic, which has no MAF sensor at all, or with LH 2,4 jetronic, which works with AMM, or with MAP related fuel injection. someone have got good results with opel maf, i know.
can you give the first part of your vin and the ecu number. i have one 360 for spares too.
