puttting the fan on a switch

so ive bought a new radiator that doesnt have a hole for the fan switch thing to go in so im left with the 2 wires to run the fan, if i touch them together the fan runs but this isnt a option because they run until i disconnect the battery, so what do i need to do to have a switch inside the car to turn the fan on and off? is it as simple as i think or do i need resistors or something? any info would be much apreciated

just a switch and a relay dude dead simple
just make sure you keep your eye on the temp gauge shouldnt over heat unless youve stopped in summer for a long while

Yup, simple as that. Only thing I'd suggest passing the power to the fan through a fuse, just for piece of mind.

oops yes a fuse defiantly a fuse around 30A should do not hurt to put a 5A fuse into the feed for the relay as well
but and im not sure on how the standard wiring runs but you could just use the standard 12v feed for the fan and relay it would be on a standard fuse then

ok this is looking like im going to have to take it to a garage i have no clues as to how to put a fuse or a relay in circuit
