There was a slight moment when I just thought I'd make sure the wipers linkage cleared everything. Turned on and "scrape scrape". Out with the hacksaw and half an hour later all seems well.

OK so now the boxes are 'neatly' tucked away inside the passenger footwell. Well tucked away anyhoo.
