Starting problems with 340

Hello everybody,
I am a proud owner of a 340 automatic and i have got some problems starting it. I know it is a
regular 340 flaw, but does it have any effect if i change the sparkplugs and put it on the
battery charger for a night?

about what the car does and what it does not! i mean does it crank normally or not etc.
