Went to move my B172 today so that I could do some work on the B14 (gravel/shingle drive, and the only bit of useful concrete is where I leave the B172)
Went to start her, and turns over, but no catching..... ever. Left the key turning for quite a while. No fuel had made it up to the fuel filter (about 8" fom the fuel pump).
Used a pump on suck to pull ome fuel through (incase there was an airlock) put in back together, still no kick. I guess this points to the fuel pump, she's been idle for around 12months, would it pack up when not being used? Or can anyone think of anything else?
Means that I didn't get any work done on Kar in the end

try leaving her going for longer - the fuel may be taking its time to get there?

tried just filling up the pipe to the carb manually? that way you could see if the engine would fire, had it got fuel..
