I don't know how WD40 works but it's great stuff. It cleans stubbourn brake dust off of bike wheels very well, and puts a shine back, unfortunatly it also reduces braking power

Needed to turn pumps on and off couple of times to get fuel pressure up, but started well, it is faster than I remembered or got more power, lol. 1st gear is out in approx 1 second or so then 2nd :P

I hope to get powercurves out soon, it is still cutting at 5000rpm so won't be too great peak power. I would like to have just 2000rpm more or then should put enough big turbo that .

Need to test remove capacitor that is in input if that helps, but if not then I start to be out of ideas. Tested so many things that there is not much left, if I only would be better with electronics.

Also need to check up why there is smell of gas, no leaks in engine room, no pool of gas under the car, almost all hoses are new, only old piece is one long hose that runs from rear to front, but those hoses that connects to it are new too and could not spot leaks, still smell is quite strong, I'm getting headache if driving too long...

I'm up for looking over the electronics at some point with you Jani if you'd like?

Very nice, but I'm not too sure how much you can do as I believe it is my soldering skills, I know properly made plan for circuit but it is so small that my fingers are not enough agile to build one, so I use horrible jumpwire mess that works much better than version I made to vero board, lol.

Anyway, there is bit other oddity too and it can be some design issue too. With different settings for software I get different rpm limit, for old version of wheel decoder code I get limit at 3000rpm and with new version 5000rpm.

I have also came to think about that maybe it is output of lm1815 that is causing this, megasquirt is not getting right information that it sends out, around 5000rpm I start to get spikes to 50000 and those are not looking interency(errors) in signal but more like something else, like singal being not so ok for megasquirt. I have read about altering capacitor and resistor at output of lm1815 but that is something I really can't understand too well.

I try to dig some more and put some information to here.

Horrible jumpwire thingy (that works better):

Veroboard thingy (that don't work so well, get some error pulses)

Actually this vero board thingy had some error in it, but even with that fixed it does not worked any better.
But as you can see in one pic, my thumb is so big and parts so small that I had trouble to make it even that small.

Oh yes, naturally help is apprciated a lot :D

Tomorrow I try to measure voltage that VR sensor does give, that has been cause to this issue for some, but I doubt as with other wheel decoder routine it does it earlier so I suspect it is more output issue than input...

Right, theres a few pointers I can give you on the veroboard circuit Jani, mainly just how best to use the board for most reliable results!!! I'm off to bed in a sec, but I'll pm you my msn, and have a discussion, and we can post up final results here to save filing the thread with electronics construction!!!

The old line about WD40 used to be that you could spray it in dizzy caps to disperse the water, but because of the water-attraction it was only a short-term fix, and the car effectively became 'addicted' to WD40.

cheers
