340 and 360 boxes are in principle the same, however they have different input shaft and front-end plate arrangements to take account of the different propshaft design. Diff ratios vary, and I'm in the process of fitting a 360 box with a B14 diff (one of two versions....either 3.82 or 3.91...yet to decide!)
I'd stick with what you have for now, and if it ends up giving you grief, look to a beefier prop. The prop is the weak point for 340s. 360 drivetrains are relatively strong. Power from Kev Strong's 360 turbo is unconfirmed (i.e. no-one has seen a dyno print), however he claims over 300bhp, and is running a totally stock drivetrain, including, amazingly (and IIRC), a stock 360 injection clutch. I've seen a video of him cleanly pulling past a Clio Williams at Silverstone, so I believe the power figure is in the right ball-park. He does treat it gently, which helps, but I'd not worry about the 360 drivetrain until you're pushing in the order of 250 lbft of torque.
