Not sure what you mean about the exhaust, any pics??

As to remote central locking, it's dead easy using the stock system, almost as though Volvo wanted you to do it ;) Wire up the system to the motor they convientently put in the drivers door, and that then operates the central locking switch as if you'd turned the key! I think they did offer remote as an option at one point, so that'd make sense.

The 360 exhaust exits on the left.
Are you on about the way the pipe comes in and out the same end of the box?

I got this pic from wikipedia

Im not talking about the pipe, its the muffler itself if you notice how its at an angle which makes it visible. Is that Normal?

But how will i get these accessories without buying the whole kit?

Does your car have central locking? If it does, it should only work from the drivers door, and if you take the door card off, you should (well, every one I've taken apart has had..) see a motor on the drivers door, with the wiring slightly different. This motor contains the switch that acitvates the rest of the motors, but it also has 2 unconnected pins.

If you put a voltage across these pins one way the motor will retract, if you reverse the voltage, the motor will extend, and it will operate the rest of the doors at the same time!

Depending on which remote locking set you get, the outputs will be different, but as long as you know how it works, we can interface the two!

When you say kit, do you mean kit for the remote, or the volvo central locking kit? All you need is a control box, and as many remotes as required.
