230FT turbo in ebay ! Questions about that ...
Taking a look at ebay I've found this auction:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLVO-360-2-3L-16 ... dZViewItem
The owner says that use a B203FT head, from what car is that head ? It's plug&play in a B200 or B230 ?
Thanks guys !!

It can be fitted but its not a simple plug and play. You will need to source a few bits and bobs to do it.

Machine valve reliefs to pistons, sort out the cam belt and tensioners and if you slap it on 360, engine mounts might need some tweaking if a Volvo BM-sized turbo is used..
Then there are minor bits like the head mounted dizzy won't clear the heater box etc.. but mostly it's about cambelt/tensioners and pistons.. Opel cambelt has been used with VW tensioner, combined with the B2x4 camgear for the auxilliary axle in B2x0..
(B2x4-series don't have auxilliary axle at all) All the parts are available, just need to pick the right ones.
Here's pic of the SJS's setup.

B230 block, cambelt is from Opel Kadett 1.6D (both 146 and 147 tooth versions will work) tensioner is from VW Golf MK2 GTI and the gear at the auxilliary axle is a camgear from B2x4 16V head, obviously.
8mm washer had to be used between the head and the tensioner to shim the VW tensioner in correct place.

Awesome Fuse !! Thanks alot !!!
But I've questions until boring you guys...
What cars have that heads ? Some info about C/R with a NA B200 ? And a pic of pistons machined ? Would can fit original pistons of that engine instead of machining ones ?
1 beer for each answer when you come to Madrid
Regards !!

Hehe no problem.
B204- and B234-series engines have that 16V head. B204FT/GT is a 2 litre 16V turbo and B234 engines are always NA.
Later model 740GLTs have the 16V B234 engine. B204 is more rare but it can be found from certain market 960 models, for example Italy got that engine. Also some markets got the B204 in 780 too.
Here's a pic of a piston suitable for 16V redblock http://koti.mbnet.fi/~fredrikr/Volvo%20 ... CF0005.JPG
As you can see, there are four reliefs machined on to the top. Without those the valves would hit the piston.
Usually people use B2x0 pistons and machine those reliefs in them, at least in turbo use because it's easier to get compression suitable like that I think. Of course B204 has suitable compression stock so those pistons can handle turbo use too, but I think it's cheaper to machine the reliefs on B2x0 pistons than locate and buy good B2x4 pistons.
But if you have a good set of pistons from the 16V block, those will fit too!
Of course if you get the whole B2x4 engine it can be used too, but I think it might require more mods when fitting the engine as the engine mounts in the B2x4 block are in different place, it has external oil pump etc.. so it differs quite a lot from the 8V B2x0 blocks even though at first it might look the same.
Someone else can clarify the CR stuff more as I don't remember which combination has which CR.
I'll keep those beers in mind if I visit Madrid sometime.

It is possible to buy a manifold for sidedraft carbs for a 16v head. I can't remember right away where from, but I think it might be KL Racing.
Bear in mind that B204 and B234 heads are different. I don't know if the valves on a B234 head will clear the bores on a B200. Might as well put a B230 in while you're at it
cheers
James
