Well seeing as the car was going to be off the road for a couple of weeks whilst the bodywork rust got sorted I thought "what the hell" and took the engine out again and out to the engineering firm to be fully balanced.

The result is a hell of a lot less vibration and it seems like it revs more freely too. The resonance is still there though, but now at a slightly different frequency/revs and also quieter.

The timing belt is an automatic adjuster type thingy so I don't THINK it could be too tight.

The others will be able to listen to it at the meet tomorrow.
