How do you identify whether it's an ft or an et? is it stamped somewhere? The time approaches when I'll be getting my industrial unit, and I have a hankering for a 940 but I wanna get the right one.

It should say on the timing belt cover. Other giveaways include the presence of a lambda sensor in the exhaust (which proves it's an FT), a hot-wire air mass meter (rather than the flappy paddle one like on a 360) (again proving it's an FT) and the stamping on the cylinder head between exhaust ports 2 and 3, which should read 1000530 for a B230FT.
All 940s had FTs...most 700s had ETs, but some late ones crept into the FT era.
