renix for b19 of b200 will definatly NOT work since those curves are for a volvo engine and your easyest swap is a renault 2.0 engine. if you want to run that renault 2.0 with twin carb's you do want a matching cam and ignition unit, if there are renault guys wich have done twin carbs on the renault 2.0 you should source them for more info regarding a matching cam and ignition unit; i definatly can tell you that those are needed for optimal performance to work with that setup but i don't know wich parts are specifically needed.

what about if i put the 40s on the 1.7 and use like maybe a volvo 440 1.8 ignition or maybe a 440 turbo ignition?

so the B20 is a more or less direct fit, minus a few things to swap over, and is a renault lump

where as the B200 is a volvo lump, and wont fit

also the b20 looks much the same as the b172 in a normal 1.7 340??

sorry guys pretty new to renault/volvo. lol

also, can the b20's be boosted? i saw a video earlier when searching on here of a b20 in an old citroen or something with a supercharger bolted to it, that would be mental, does any one know if they need forged internals?

There are 2 b20's, one the 1960's redblock, the other the 1990's renault engine.

For keeping identical looks, take a B20, and rejet a solex for it, with the B20 renix unit. That way you have the cam etc set up, but it involves knowing how to re jet a carb.

For less hassle (and less carb knowledge) take a B20F and chuck it all in with injection system and work out how to convert the fuel lines to high pressure.

For power, take an 8V and run with programmable spark and twin 40s.

For significantly more power for the same amount of effort, put a valver in.

I found an easy way to sort the fuel presure to run the injection on my car, Suzuki wagon R fuel tank, it's small has a pump at roughly the right presure in the tank lines up reasonably well. Just knock up four brakets and work the wiring out for the gauge, and get a flexi filler neck. I used bigger fuel lines and an inline filter from a mk2 golf Gti.
