Stage 0 B200

Post by mrborrie » 19 Aug 2010 12:08 am

Starting to bukd up my 360 for the 360 cup we got overhere in the netherlands.
Rules are you keep the setup to factory specs but a few things like bushings and seals are free too choose.
This would be a track car so i'm looking for advice on what filters (K&N cones are allowed) sparkplugs , oil etc to get to get the best result out of the B200 in my 360

Thanks

pethconi on here should be able to give you details on what to use.

If youa re alowed PU bushings then go ahead and fit all of them. I do bushes for the wishbone, tie bar and rear springs. If you can use them I also do track 360 springs and adjustable rate dampers that are perfect for all aplications. Again if permited I also can get made some more 25mm anti roll bars.

Engine wise plugs and oil etc will not make any real difference TBH. Air filter any K@N type filter will do the job but make sure you have a good cold air feed to it. A air box is a good idea plumbed into a cold air feeding duct.

If the car has pass or AC then you will want to remove that.

If within the regs I would give the iinlet manifold and ports in the head a clean up with a light grind.

Are you allowed to change cam profile? Increase valve sizes etc? If you are restricted to volvo profiles then go for at least a K if you can not find a H cam. Inlet valves are probably big enough but the exhaust valve could do with going up about 2mm

Talking of exhausts are 4 branch manifolds and sport systems allowed?

OWah thanks for that good feedback!

Well for the car the specs are like how they came from the factory, so only 360 B200 stuff is allowed on the car.

Here are some of the rules
- The weight is free (interior maybe taken out but the dash needs to look oem)
- there is no mention on poly so i want to do that.
- tires are Kumo trampino or something
- No swaybars are not allowed
- Sexy Diffs that where delivered in sweden are not allowed
- diff cams are not allowed
- OEM exhaust only but you may remove the center damper for a straight pipe
- lowering is allowed
- diff shocks are allowed
- modding camber settings is allowed
- Rollcadge is mandatory
- Breakpads are free
- breakdisks is free as long it fits the OEM caliper

its pretty strick to keep costs down and the competiontion high.. perfect cup for me since i tent to pour all my cash in projects :D

The rules, in dutch are in perfect order on the website, DNRT.nl or Volvo360cup.nl

The tire's are Toyo Trampio 14", thats the only tire that is allowed.
Poly's are allowed, standard swaybars only.
Only standard diffs, not with sper !
No diff cams, OEM pipes, but you can use a end damper from a diesel, that gives more flow.
Lowering and bumps are allowed as you please.
Camber is only allowed in one way.
The rest is true.

Need any more tips or tricks, mail or post it here (is good for my english gheghe)

Its getting a bit offtopic but since you seem to know the rules well can you tell me if this rollgadge is allowed.
I bought a old cup car but when got her it seemed more like a old drift car, non the less some nice goodies where still on there just not sure if i may use it for the cup.
