Leaky core plug, easy fix?

I havent spoken to the bloke yet, but theres a 340 on gumtree im thinking about getting.. but he says the head has a leaking core plug.. would this be an avoid? Anytime ive had a core plug problem in fords iv just changed the whole engine. Any helps? Cheers

Hi mate.
New core plugs are cheap.If you also use a bit of liquid metel, that will help it also.
I done my GLS this way and it has not givin any bother since.

Yeah really easy, they're only there to allow pressure release from the water channels in your engine if they ever freeze.

true this.. Ive had cracked water channels before though, so to me, if a core plugs a-poppin, maybe theres a fracture somewhere.. then again, they move to prevent a crack.
Think i might investigate.. chances are the blokes sold it now anyway -.-
