microsquirt any good?

Post by classicswede » 10 May 2012 10:24 pm

Looking at various options for my 145 and seen this on ebay.

I already have a 940 flywheel and crank sensor fitted.

Any thought on this compared to the other mega squirt systems available.

I've looked at it, but no plans to use, fairly well renowned. Originally a home build kit, looks very capable. Are you planning to use for fuel control or ignition or both. Its really a fuel controller with ignition added on. Ignition only products can be had cheaper with DIS. Launch control getting popular, apparently achievable with the 940 EZK mod I am getting (just a small micro to decode the crank position to get DIS).

For fuel, you may need some different sensors like MAP and O2 (wideband is best) aswell as ignition coil driver(s), depending on what your setup is.
