oil breather pipe

Post by Vart » 29 Jun 2005 12:00 am

i've broken the cunningly shat plastic part of the breather pipe that connects the head to the carb...

any ideas of a fix? tape doesn't work...

chemical metal probably wouldn't work either cause its too greasy.

does the pipe come out easily? if so i can get a replacement from the local scrape yard.

Is the car a 1.4?

Do you meanthe plastic T shape piece that fits into the rocker cover / top of engine?

It connects to the carb via the second arm via a rubber hose and to the airfilter via the third arm via a shorter rubber hose ( goes into base of air filter)

I have broken these before. Use pliers to remove the broken bits from the top of the rocker cover - the piece left behind should just lift out.

New T pieces are a few quid from volvo or you could go to a scrappy ang get one off a car there....
