340 / 360 differential compatibility

Post by broady81 » 14 Jul 2012 12:07 pm

Hey guys,

I'm interested in the LSDs that Atchi is getting made. They're designed for a 360 diff. Do the 360s and 340s have the same differentials? In other words, would it be possible to put one of these LSDs into a 340 diff?

I've had a look around and can't seem to find a definitive answer. I know the 360 has different output shafts (slightly), but that's as sure as I got.

Thanks

Matt

The question has been answer many times, but the search is a bit rubbish.

Yes they are the same fit between 340+360, ratios vary. The main 'fit' difference is there are different lengths to accommodate the different 4 and 5 speed gearboxes.

my understanding is, apart from ratios, if you were to take the actual diff/final drive out of the casing, then they are all the same :)
